Maughan Library

It just so happened that libraries in the United Kingdom are not only a way to enrich the mind, but also an opportunity to “feed the eyes”. Despite the dramatic decline in the number of visitors, libraries in London still offer the modern extremely “computerized” person many interesting books, which are of exceptional value rather as museum pieces, which, however, does not detract from their attractiveness. But today we are not talking so much about the book heritage as about the architectural and design findings, which can be found by visiting the libraries listed below in London.

We must say right away that you can only admire this beautiful building from the outside, since only students of King’s College London have access to the inside. The library building itself was erected in the 19th century by the architect James Pennethorn. Its most famous part is the reading room, covered from above with a multifaceted glazed dome, and most importantly, mentioned in the famous novel by Dan Brown “The Da Vinci Code”. Thus, the Moen Library, in our humble opinion, receives the status of the most interesting library in London from the architectural side.
